Austin FC at Q2 Stadium

A stadium with its own rail stop, and one street where every car goes.

September 5 - October 10, 202610414 McKalla Pl, Austin, TX 78758

Q2 Stadium sits at Braker and Burnet in north Austin, which is a completely different traffic problem from anything downtown. The building is newer than the road network feeding it, and on a full house that shows.

The remaining 2026 home matches all kick at 7:30 p.m., which puts arrival squarely inside evening rush on Braker.

The genuinely good news about Q2 is that it was planned around the rail line, and McKalla Station opened next to it in 2024. That changes the honest answer about whether you need us at all.

Getting there, and getting out

Delta Drive is the whole story

All rideshare and private vehicle drop-off happens on Delta Drive, on the east side of the stadium. Pickup after the match is the same street. Every car attached to the building funnels through one road, twice, which is why the postmatch wait is worse than the arrival.

Accessible drop-off works differently

Accessible drop-off is on West Road. For pickup, the driver has to tell the officer at the Rutland and McKalla intersection that they are making an accessible pickup in order to get onto West Road. Tell your driver that before they arrive rather than letting them find out at the checkpoint, because the checkpoint is not the place to have that conversation.

The train is genuinely competitive here

McKalla Station on the MetroRail Red Line sits next to the stadium, and CapMetro runs the 383, 392, and 803. For two people coming from downtown or north Austin, the train is cheaper than we are and often faster on the way out. We would rather say that than pretend otherwise. Where a car wins is groups, bad weather, a late finish, and anyone who does not want to end the night on a platform.

Parking sells out and it sells out early

The East, North, and Southwest lots run on pre-purchased passes and are usually gone well before match day. If your plan is to drive and buy parking at the gate, there is no gate to buy it at.

Two dates that are worse than the rest

September 5 is a Longhorns home game at 2:30 and Austin FC at 7:30, which means central Austin unloads into the evening just as north Austin loads up. October 10 falls inside ACL weekend two. Both of those need earlier departures than the match time suggests.
